Three Peaks Challenge · 21 June 2025

No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

We're taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for Julia’s House

Why we're climbing mountains (literally)

Julia’s House isn’t just a children’s hospice, it’s a lifeline for families going through unimaginable challenges. From compassionate end-of-life care to joyful sibling support and precious respite breaks, their incredible team is there when families need it most.

They receive less than 8% government funding, so almost everything they do is thanks to people like you.

Your donation could help fund:

• £100 One-on-one time with a sibling worker, giving a brother or sister their own space to talk, play, and feel supported.

• £500 A home visit from a specialist nurse, offering expert care for a seriously ill child, and a moment of rest for their family.

• £1,000 An entire week of respite care, giving exhausted parents time to recharge and simply be mum and dad again.

Every single pound truly makes a difference.

🏔️ The challenge: 3 peaks. 24 hours. 1 BIG goal.

We’re taking on the UK’s legendary Three Peaks Challenge by climbing:

• Ben Nevis (Scotland 1,345m)

• Scafell Pike (England 978m)

• Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (Wales 1,085m)

All within 24 hours. That’s over 3,400 metres of climbing, 23 miles of hiking, and hundreds of miles driving in between. It’s going to be tough, but nothing compared to what the families supported by Julia’s House go through every day.

How You Can Help

We’re aiming to raise £2,500 for this amazing charity — and every donation, no matter how small, helps us get closer.

Please give what you can. And if you’re not in a position to donate right now, a share or a kind word means the world too.

Together, we can give children with life-limiting conditions — and their families — moments of comfort, joy, and care that they’ll never forget.

Thank you so much for your support.
