Oscar Nolan was an amazing young man who brought joy and laughter to all those around him. He died suddenly in October 2024 and is missed greatly by all his family, friends, fellow students and staff at Lighthouse School.

School staff asked if they could do something positive in honour of Oscar's memory.

A small number of Lighthouse School staff (Team Oscar) have already taken part in the Leeds Half Marathon on Sunday 11th May 2025 and a large group of staff will be taking part in the Leeds 10k on Sunday 15th June 2025.

Team Oscar will be raising money for a memorial for Oscar in school and to support the school council's chosen focus of raising funds towards a new school minibus. Oscar loved accessing the community via the school minibus, so we hope to add some legacy to the new minibus in Oscar’s memory including adding Oscar’s name in graphics on the minibus.
