Story
On 19th June 2025, I’ll be taking on the challenge of walking 24 miles from Chester to Crewe as part of Likewize’s Charity Challenge (Yes I have analysed the path, negotiated the route and thoroughly prepared my walking essentials already).
Why?
For those of you who know me, i'm always up for a challenge - and if i'm being honest, I was just delighted to finally be invited to take part - it felt like i'd won a competition - and now I can't think of an acceptable reason to back out...
But more importantly, I’m doing it to raise money for Caudwell Children, a brilliant charity that supports disabled and autistic children across the UK. They provide vital services when families need them most.
So yes – I’ll be walking 24 miles in (potentially) the rain, (definitely) with sore feet, and (undoubtedly) questioning my choice to take on the challenge around mile 17.
Your donation really can make a difference:
✅ £10 = sensory toys to help calm an anxious child
✅ £25 = contributes to a specialist therapy session
✅ £50 = helps fund a life-changing autism assessment
Give what you can. Or give what you'd spend on one of those fancy coffees you buy but don’t actually like.
Let’s make every step count – mostly mine, granted, but with your help, they’ll mean a whole lot more.
Thanks for your support (and for giving me fewer excuses to back out).
Dan
Thank you so much for your support.
