I am excited to share that I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon on May 17, 2026, as part of Team Refuge. My journey with Refuge has allowed me to witness firsthand the incredible difference this charity makes in the lives of women and children affected by domestic abuse.

One in four women will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime. On average, two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner. Refuge stands as the largest single provider of specialist services for survivors of domestic, sexual, and gender-based abuse. Their freephone, 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline is often the first step for women seeking to escape from abusive situations.

Since joining Refuge in autumn 2025, I have met countless inspirational women, both within the organisation and among its service users, all of whom embody resilience and hope. By sponsoring me today with a contribution towards my target of £350, you are playing a vital role in helping to save and transform the lives of thousands of women and their children.
