Story
I'm supporting Nerve Tumours UK because their mission means a great deal to me.
My brilliant Auntie, Anna Lickley, had NF2, a rare genetic disorder which causes nerve tumours to grow, typically in the brain and spine. She was diagnosed at 16, later becoming Deaf and visually impaired and facing regular major surgeries. Sadly, she passed away last July at age 49.
Anna was an intelligent, witty, and deeply loving person, and her friendship meant a great deal to me, as it did to many others. She lived life with a real sense of adventure and was a fantastic British Sign Language teacher and author. She inspired me to run the London marathon, having run it herself twice. Please help me as I follow in her footsteps, and support the mission of this charity which provide crucial support to people living with nerve tumours.
