Lilleshall Bells Restoration Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 7 June 2025
The bells of St Michael and All Angels Church in Lilleshall are a cherished part of our community and have been ringing for over 200 years. However, they are becoming increasingly difficult to ring and maintain. We are now aiming to raise funds to restore the bells, along with their fixtures and fittings, to ensure they continue to ring for future generations.
As part of our fundraising efforts, a team of bell ringers will take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in June 2025 to help raise money for this important project. The challenge is 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent, taking on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent , Whernside and Ingleborough. We are aiming to complete the walk in under 12 hours.
We hope to raise significant funds for the restoration work, but we need your support! Your generosity will help preserve a vital part of our heritage for future generations.
Please consider donating to this cause, and join us in ensuring that the bells of St Michael and All Angels continue to ring for many more years to come.
Thank you for your support!
