Story
On the 24th–25th of March, I will be taking on a 2-day sponsored silence to raise money for Friends of Shepherds Down Association (FOSDA), supporting Shepherds Down Special School, Winchester.
This fundraiser is very personal to me. My little brother is non-verbal autistic, and I have seen first-hand the incredible support, care and dedication his teachers provide every single day. They have made such a positive difference in his life, helping him learn, grow and communicate in ways that work for him.
By staying silent for two days, I want to do more than just raise money. I also want to highlight the challenges faced by people like my brother and many others who struggle to communicate verbally. For me, being silent for 48 hours will be a challenge — but for some children and adults, communication barriers are part of everyday life.
All the money raised will go directly to FOSDA to help provide essential resources, equipment and opportunities for the children at Shepherds Down School. Every donation, no matter the size, will help support children with special educational needs and ensure they continue receiving the amazing support they deserve.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting my fundraiser. Your generosity truly means a lot 💙
