Running for a Cure

Lillian Notar is raising money for American Parkinson Disease Assoc

Hood To Coast Relay 2026 · 28 August 2026

The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is a nationwide grassroots network dedicated to fighting PD and help the approximately one million with PD in the United States live life to the fullest in the face of this chronic, neurological disorder.

Story

This August, my dad and I will be running the Hood to Coast Relay—a 200-mile relay race across Oregon with a team of 12 runners—in honor of my mom and in support of the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA).

Parkinson's has been part of my family's story for generations. For the past 14 years, my mom has faced Parkinson's with incredible strength and resilience, inspiring me every day and motivating me to run this race in her honor. Her journey—and the impact Parkinson's has had on my family—is why I'm so passionate about supporting Parkinson's research and helping move us closer to a cure.

I'm excited to partner with the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) to raise funds for Parkinson's research, education, and support. Every donation helps advance research, improve care, and provide resources for individuals and families living with Parkinson's.

Every mile I run is for my mom, for everyone living with Parkinson's, and for the hope of a cure.

Any contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Thank you!
