My story 🩷✨

Hello! Thank you for coming to our JustGiving page! My name is Lillie-Mae, I am 17 years old with ASD and my brother Corey is 12 and is undiagnosed. I am into all things Kawaii, manga/anime and cosplaying.

my dream is hoping to become an anime illustrator. For my brother Corey, he is into metal bands such as KORN, Linkin park, limp bizkit, system of a down etc. He is currently in year 7.

When I was 3-4 years old, my parents noticed I didn't talk a lot but instead made noises and I was very quiet throughout my life. So they decided I needed to be checked out by the GP, by around that time when I got my official diagnosis, both of them knew my life would be different.

Throughout my school life, I've been bullied a lot for my disability and being different than anyone else which let me to becoming really depressed and had really bad thoughts of wanting to harm myself. But I knew that if I did that, it would really change my life forever including my family.

My brother Corey at the minute is waiting for his diagnosis for autism, he has also suffered like I did in school and ended up with bad depression and anxiety. For past days until now he still goes through this and it pains me to hear him going through all this.. 😢

It's really awful why people with hidden disabilities have to go through all of this and it's not their fault at all..

So that's why I am making a stand to help everyone who is on the spectrum including my brother, to get the right support and needs, and for them to live a long and happy future! 💕

On Sunday the 19th of April, we will both participate in the national autistic society's spectrum colour walk in Battersea park. By doing this walk, It can help a variety of issues that autistic individuals are going through such as bullying, loneliness, isolation and also for schools across to UK to think differently about autism.

So please, if you could donate, you can help change lives of those living with autism spectrum disorder and help get them the right support and help that they need. Even if they're also waiting for their autism diagnosis too.

Thank you! ❤️
