Lilly's fundraiser for Mental Health UK

Lilly Marshall is raising money for Mental Health UK
Mental Health UK works in schools, homes and workplaces to build a thriving UK where good mental health is prioritised. We challenge the systems and situations that hold people back, and equip them with tools and advice to unlock their full potential.

Story

Hi, I’m Lilly, I’m 14 and I play rugby for 🖤🩷 Rose Bridge Pantheresses🩷🖤. My goals are to male it onto p2p with wigan or any other professional team.

I’m challenging myself to run 100 miles to raise money for Mental Health UK.

Last time, I completed 50 miles, but my rugby training was included in the total. This time I wanted to push myself even further and make the challenge tougher, so none of my rugby training sessions or matches will count towards the 100 miles.

The only miles that count are the extra runs I do on top of rugby training and games.

Mental health is something that affects so many people, and I want to help raise awareness and money for a charity that supports people who are struggling. Pushing yourself for the likes of p2p can be very mentally damaging. It is shown that 59% of people in sport struggle with mental health. I want to make it a point that you can get through it.

100 miles is going to be a big challenge, especially alongside school, rugby training and matches, but I’m determined to complete it.

Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot and would help support the amazing work done by Mental Health UK.

Thank you for your support.
