I’m taking part in the Gifting Goals Trustee Challenge Abseil this year to fundraise towards our goal of building a football pitch in the rural community of As Eyla , which is located in the afar desert in Djibouti.

Sport has always been a massive part of my life and in the UK we are fortunate enough for it to be part of our curriculum at school . This is not the case in Djibouti yet sport really is the beating heart of the community. Sport and football are a universal language that can bring us all together and I am hoping to play a part in nourishing this.

After witnessing the first ever football match for girls in Djibouti ,I am more determined than ever to provide a safe environment for girls and young women to play sports.
