Story
In November 2025, my wonderful Dad, Keith, passed away in St. Richard’s. We had spent the previous 4 weeks living in the Hospice, somewhere which became our safe place and home away from home.
Some days were long and extremely difficult, seeing our proud and strong Dad gradually slip away from us. However, the support and care we received during those final weeks with him is something we will always be grateful for. As well as the sadness there was laughter and joy, as we shared stories about Dad’s life, making him a well known character in the unit!
During our time at St. Richard’s we began to understand how crucial donations are to allow it to continue to provide the level of care it does. We don’t know what we would have done had the Hospice not have been able to support us.
Therefore, myself and some of the amazing people (Laura Sawle, Lydia Gibson and Sarah Stone) who have held me up over the past couple of years, will be challenging (and it certainly will be) ourselves to walk the 31 miles of the Worcestershire Way.
We would really appreciate any donations, no matter how small.
Many thanks and wish us luck!
Lily, Laura, Lydia and Sarah
