We’ll walk for those we’ve lost. We’ll walk to celebrate those who've survived. And we’ll walk to smash the stigma around suicide and get people talking. This isn’t a walk in the park - it’s a life-changing (and life-saving) trek.

Story

I’m participating in a 20-mile trek to raise money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and to advocate for the mental health of disabled people, because our struggles are too often invisible. I live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and POTS, conditions that cause chronic pain, joint instability, fatigue, and dizziness. Walking even a short distance can be overwhelming. So 20 miles isn’t just a challenge, it’s a mountain. But I’m doing this to show that people like me deserve to be seen and heard, especially in conversations around mental health.

CALM is a lifeline for so many. Offering crucial support to those who feel isolated, overwhelmed, or unheard. For disabled people, who face unique mental health struggles and barriers to care, this kind of support can be truly life-saving. Every donation helps CALM reach more people who need that lifeline.

At CALM , they believe that every life is precious and that no one should face their struggles alone. Their mission is to provide vital support to those who are feeling overwhelmed, lost, or in despair. With their dedicated helpline, they offer a lifeline to individuals who may feel there is no way forward. Every call they receive could be the turning point for someone in need.

I am asking for your support in reaching my target of £1,500. Your generous contribution of just £12.20 can fund one potentially life-saving call through their helpline. Let’s unite to create a future where everyone has access to the help they need and deserves a chance at happiness.
