Story

Welcome to our team fundraising page. (Sarah, Jonathan and Lily)

At the beginning of December 2024 Sarah and Jonathan’s Dad Tony, was unfortunately diagnosed with stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma Cancer. This sadly is a terminal diagnosis and as a family this has been weighing heavily on all our hearts. Tony is due to start chemotherapy in the January 2025 to help to reduce the speed at which this disease spreads.

Sarah ran the Brighton marathon in April last year fundraising for the Charity “Mind” and has since, been nagging her brother Jonathan, her partner Lily - and to be honest anyone else who runs more than 2 minutes, to run a race with her.

It’s obviously a hard time for the family and friends of Tony, so if we can bring a little light and hope by making our Dad proud whilst also fundraising for such a wonderful cause in the hope that one day this diagnosis will not be a terminal one.

We appreciate anything you can donate to our cause, regardless of how big or small. Anything you can contribute will mean the absolute world to us all and keep us going during the run! We will be posting updates on our training over the next 5 months leading up to the big day.
