In April I will be running the Paris marathon in support of my friend Alistair, who is living with Prostate Cancer. Donations, however big or small, are hugely appreciated. Please read on to find out more about Alistair’s story and how this has motivated me to undertake my marathon challenge. Thank you!

Alistair had his Prostate removed in February of this year, but in July, the Cancer had spread. He is now going through Chemo until December. Despite it being a tricky situation, he remains really positive about the future.

As early diagnosis of Prostate Cancer makes it eminently curable, Alistair is on a mission to encourage men, particularly in their 50’s, to get a PSA test EARLY and INSIST on it. He also wants to encourage those in difficult situations to still live their dreams, and to exemplify this, he believes he can become an IRONMAN! In support of Alistair, his journey and his incredible Ironman mission, I am inspired to undertake a physical challenge of my own by running my first marathon. In doing this, I hope to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK, to contribute towards greater research into this silent but deadly disease.
