Story
I'm raising money because my mother is the most courageous and strong woman I know on this planet. It's heartbreaking to see her struggle with an illness that should not define her as a person, but is such a big part of her life. When I was around ten years old, laying at the top of the stairs was my mother — she could not move nor speak, and me and my brother had no idea what to do. Ever since, I've been taking care of her as if she was older than she is, helping her go to the toilet, washing her hair, staying with her with she was ill and crying to be that she didn't want to be this way anymore. And yet the next day I had to go to school and do my homework, revision, dealing with my own relationships while secretly hoping my mother wouldn't turn up in hospital when I got him. I'm raising awareness because my mum has never stopped fighting, for herself, and for other people. Thankyou for listening
