Story
I will be running Cardiff Half Marathon in October in order to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
I was diagnosed with Autism at 17 following years with no support and low mental health. Getting diagnosed so late can be so daunting. For a while I felt my label defined me however, I came to realise it makes me who I am. I could not be prouder of being Autistic.
A month following my diagnosis I created a project called ‘Autism and Inclusivity within the Hockey Cymru Community’. Aiming to change perceptions on neurodiversity and educate our community in order to make hockey a place for all.
As of January this year, I launched NeurodiversityinSport. A brand in which is dedicated to ensuring sport is a place for all. As well as striving to change perceptions around Autism. I want all autistic individuals to be proud of who they are. It’s time perceptions changed and we adapt to make a society equip for all.
On October 6th 2024, I will be running Cardiff Half Marathon for the National Autistic Society. If possible, please donate below, it would mean the world!
