I’m fundraising for Mikey’s Wish Foundation because this cause is very close to our hearts.

For the past four years, Lily (age 7) has been diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (formerly known as Verbal Dyspraxia). Childhood Apraxia of Speech affects how the brain plans the movements needed for speech, which can make it very difficult for children to communicate. It can be frustrating and challenging, but Lily continues to work incredibly hard every day.

Mikey’s Wish Foundation does amazing work raising awareness and supporting children and families affected by Childhood Apraxia of Speech. They help ensure that children like Lily get the understanding, support, and opportunities they deserve.

To help raise awareness and funds for this important cause, Lily is taking on the challenge of running 5km. We are so proud of her determination and courage, and this run means a lot to her and to our family.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Mikey’s Wish Foundation continue their important work supporting children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and the families who stand beside them.
