Story

On 21st June, I’ll be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon to raise funds for a truly special cause — building a statue in honour of Swindon Town’s, John Trollope.

With a record 770 league appearances, he held the English Football League record for the most appearances for a single club — a feat that speaks to his loyalty, passion, and sheer dedication to the Robins.

A one-club man through and through, John played for Swindon from 1960 to 1980, was part of the legendary 1969 League Cup-winning team, and went on to serve as coach, manager, and mentor for generations after his playing days. His impact has been felt not just on the pitch, but in the heart of the community. He represents everything fans love about football — commitment, humility, and love for the badge.

Now, the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation is aiming to commemorate John's legacy with a statue outside Foundation Park — a lasting tribute to a local legend. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to making that vision a reality.

Please support me and this cause as I climb Snowdon in John's honour. Let’s give the man who gave everything to our club the recognition he truly deserves.

🔴⚪ Forever a Robin. Forever our legend.

Thank you!
