Straight after the summer break, myself and ten other parents of Brindishe Manor school kids will be running The Big Half to raise vital funds for our school.

As a parent of a child who's just finished his first year of reception, I spent a lot of time trying to keep up with school newsletters, sounding out phonics and then navigating the "water-gate" drama!

Amongst all of this, I've seen how incredibly hard the staff, parents and volunteers work hard to create a nurturing environment, and build a truly supportive community around it.

Funds raised will go towards extras that make a difference, whether thats new learning resources, enriching school facilities or improving the outdoor and playground spaces.
