Rickie, Tony, Saul, Myles & Ryan will be dusting their bikes off and riding 68 miles around Essex to help raise money and awareness for Lily Belles Journey.

Rickie's daughter Lily Belle was a happy and healthy 6 month old baby when she contracted the life threatening illness Meningococcal Septicemia which is a form of Meningitis.

Knowing something wasn't right Lily Belles Mum Carly took Lily to Watford Hospital but she was misdiagnosed with Chickenpox and sent home at 3am.

Overnight Lily Belles condition worsened and unbeknown to Rickie & Carly her body was shutting down, they called for an Ambulance and she was blue lighted to Barnet General Hospital.

They were ready and waiting for her, but by this stage Lily was extremely poorly and they had to put her into an induced coma and get the 'CATS' team to come and take over and transfer her to Great Ormand Street hospital where she would spend 2 weeks with around the clock care for life saving treatment.

Rickie & Carly count their blessings everyday that their daughter Lily Belle made a full recovery and is now a happy and healthy 11 year old who enjoys lots of activities such as football, boxing, drama and girl guides and is getting ready to start her first year at secondary school.

Although originally let down by Watford Hospital's misdiagnosis Rickie & Carly know full well that Lily would not be here today if it wasn't for the remarkable people in the Ambulance Service, Barnet Hospital, CATS & Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Having a front row seat it has made them realize how lucky we are to have them and how much they rely on fundraising, since then Rickie & Carly and their family and friends have done various things for the charities to try and help them to help others.
