Story
In June I am taking on a challenge which is epic even by my standards. I will be attempting to run 250k across Tanzania, covering 7,000 metres of elevation. The 5 day event includes a day at altitude climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. But this is nothing compared to the journeys that refugees all over the world take on a daily basis. I would like to raise money for the International Rescue Committee which works with refugees across the globe. As someone who is currently hosting two Ukrainians I have some understanding of what it is like to be displaced from your home country and the important work that charities like IRC do. The charity helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control over their future.
