In March 2027, just before what would have been Lily’s 21st birthday, me and Hannah will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of our lives — a 10-day trek through the mountains of Peru, finishing at Machu Picchu.

Lily died of cancer at just 18 years old after fighting so incredibly hard for a year. She showed more strength and bravery than we could ever put into words, and we are so proud of her every single day.

During the trek we’ll reach altitudes of 14,800 feet, where oxygen levels are only around 60% of what they are at sea level. It will push us physically and mentally, but we’re doing this in memory of Lily and for a cause that means so much to our family.

We are raising money for LOROS, who cared for Lily with such compassion and dignity when she was poorly, and who continue to support us today. The kindness, comfort and strength they provide to families going through the hardest times is truly incredible.

This trek is our way of honouring Lily doing something brave, challenging and meaningful in her name, while giving back to the charity that gave us so much.
