Story
When I was two years old, I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Autism. My family were told that I may never walk independently. But with years of physiotherapy, determination and the amazing support of my family and medical team, I learned to walk on my own - something I am still incredibly proud of today.
Living with challenges of my own has made me want to help other children and families facing difficult times. I know how important support, care and kindness can be, which is why fundraising for Haven House means so much to me.
I started fundraising when I was just seven years old, taking on a 15km walk for Haven House. It was one of the hardest things I had ever done, but I was determined to finish it for the children and families who rely on the hospice. Thanks to the incredible kindness of people who supported me, I raised an amazing £40,000.
After that, I wanted to keep going.
At eight years old, I set myself another walking challenge to raise even more money for Haven House, because I knew how much the charity depends on donations to continue caring for seriously ill children.
Then, in September 2025, just before my 13th birthday, I took on my biggest challenge yet - climbing Mount Snowdon. There were moments when it felt impossible, but I kept thinking about the children and families Haven House supports and how important it was to keep going. Reaching the summit was one of the proudest and most emotional moments of my life.
Together, we raised more than £11,000 from the challenge, bringing my total fundraising for Haven House to more than £75,000.
Haven House Children’s Hospice supports seriously ill children and their families across North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire, helping families through the toughest times imaginable with specialist nursing care, therapies, respite and end-of-life support.
The charity relies heavily on donations and community support to continue providing this vital care and needs to raise approximately £9 million every year to keep its doors open.
Every donation, message of support and share means the world to me and will help Haven House continue being there for children and families who need them most.
Thank you so much for supporting my journey and helping me make a difference.
