I’m raising money for Eridge RDA (Riding for the Disabled), a small but very important charity that is affiliated to the National Riding for the Disabled Association Charity. I’m an instructor for Eridge RDA so it’s very dear to my heart. Any money you could donate would be very much appreciated, Eridge RDA receives no central funding so we rely totally on donations and fund raising to continue all our activities .

Eridge RDA is dedicated to improving the lives of local children and adults with physical and/or learning disabilities through the therapeutic value of riding. Our sessions, held weekly, provide therapy, fitness, skills development, opportunities for achievement and most importantly, fun.

Some riders stay with us for only a short time to meet a specific need whilst others have been with us many years with one rider still with us after over 25 years. We are fortunate to have access to great indoor and outdoor equestrian facilities on the edge of the Ashdown Forest which means we can continue our activities all year round. There are many people who support Eridge RDA in its endeavours; our horses are generously provided by a number of local owners, and we have a team of approximately 30 volunteers who assist with the lessons (each rider requires three volunteers, one to lead the horse and two to side-walk) as well as three qualified instructors.
