Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking on the Run 50 Miles in October challenge for PCR to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer. As I’m 52 on the last day of September, I’m going to run 52 miles🥰.

My precious, wonderful and amazing Dad has this awful disease and thankfully, with the miracle treatment that is available, it is being kept under control. It impacted our family hugely when he was diagnosed. We were all totally devastated and completely shocked as we had no idea that he had it, and no idea what it meant!!! We are now thankful every day that he is able to carry on a relatively normal life with the help of his medication and our beautiful mum keeping him in check!!💙🧡

I also have dear friends who have been severely impacted

by this disease, so for my family, and all those people affected that I know, as well as those I don’t, I would like to do my bit.

Prostate Cancer Research are dedicated to creating brand new prostate cancer treatments. Prostate cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK and 11,500 men die from the disease every year. People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments, and research is the only way to turn this hope into reality.
