The Dixon Community have provided support to vulnerable people and carers in the govanhill community for many years, recently the van in which they use to transport residents to and from the centre has broken down and they have lost out on funding and grants from the council so have no money to replace the van, for the elderly residents in the area this is a crucial service and they rely on the centre and transport to help them socialise and utilise what's on offer, without transport the residents have no way of getting there leaving many housebound. I'm hoping to raise enough funds to buy a new van for the centre.
