I am taking part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise funds for the Link living charity who help people of all ages who have suffered trauma and or mental health difficulties and the negative effects these have on daily life , to be able to realise their potential and the valuable contribution they can make to the world we live in.

As a mum of a young person who had to deal with the struggle of moving from Primary to High school during the covid pandemic, I am aware of all the stress and difficulties that it caused to so many. I have had first hand experience of the amazing work that happens at Link living where vulnerable young people have been supported to learn new skills, build new friendships and gain confidence to seek employment and be part of a community which encourages inclusion and equal opportunities for those who need it.

The Link Academy in Falkirk run courses and workshops which enable people to gain recognised qualifications to help them move forward and find employment thus improving self worth, confidence and consequently overall quality of life.

I will be forever thankful that this charity was there when we needed them and so I would not only be grateful for any donations people would like to give but also just to anyone who just looks up this charity to raise awareness for the fantastic work they do and to help continue the funding so that many more young people who need help are able to access it.
