Story
On Friday 3 October I am taking in the challenge of “Boycott your Bed”, sleeping out to raise vital funds to help the children across the UK who go to bed every night feeling unsafe, cold, hopeless .
4.5 million children now live in poverty in the UK. That’s 31% of all children. Every night , many children go to bed hungry, struggle to sleep in a cold, damp house or un a cramped room. And start the next day without a warm coat or shoes that fit.
But it doesn’t have to be like this. The event helps raise vital funds that enable Action for Children give a child warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed.
Please support me with raising vital funds and help more children have a safe and happy childhood. £50 could pay for new shoes for two children, £65 could help more children have a safe and happy childhood.
Childhood is precious. There isn’t long to get it right. But we can take action for children so they don't miss out.
