I'm doing my own Walk of Life to support the RUH Bath.
I’m especially raising money for a new Pet/Ct Scanner which cost around £300.000 for a reconditioned one but ………..
RUHX, the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath, has launched a £4 million fundraising campaign to bring a new, advanced PET-CT scanner to the hospital. The project aims to dramatically increase scanning capacity, improve diagnostic accuracy for diseases like cancer and dementia, and reduce patient waiting times.
Key Project DetailsCampaign Goal:
Raise £4 million to purchase the scanner and build two new lead-lined, specialized uptake rooms in the Radiology Department.Projected Impact: The new technology will enable the RUH to increase the number of patient scans from the current 1,700 per year up to 5,000 annually.Benefits: The new, faster scanner will offer improved image quality and lower radiation doses, providing faster, more precise diagnoses.Targeted Diseases: The scanner will be used to diagnose and monitor cancer
,I wish to give back for the amazing treatment and all the care of the wonderful staff, while I was going through my cancer journey and my continued ongoing support.
Together, the funds we help raise will make a real life impact. Every penny goes towards helping care for patients at the hospital and providing state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for loved ones. From transforming hospital wards, funding life changing research and innovative technologies, to providing mental health first aid training to staff and arts programmes for children and older people on our wards. With your help, we can make our care extra extraordinary for every patient, and support our hospital staff to do what they do best.
