Story
On January 11th, I’ll be taking on Britain’s toughest endurance race: the Winter Spine. It’s a 268-mile, non-stop journey along the Pennine Way, from Edale to Kirk Yetholm. Unmarked, self-supported, and deep in winter. Cold, dark, wet, and relentless.
I’m running in support of Into Ultra, a charity that opens up the physical and mental benefits of ultra running by providing coaching and support to people who wouldn’t otherwise have access to this sport.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have people who believed in me — from my first coach Terry (now 90!), to my current coach Chloe, as well as my family and friends. Running might look like a solo sport, but it’s the support and community behind the scenes that make it possible.
This sport can be life-changing, but access to it isn’t equal.
Your support will help Into Ultra provide coaching, guidance, and sponsorship to people who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to begin their own journey into ultra running.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be hugely grateful.
