Story
In January, I’ll be taking on the Winter Spine Race. A 268-mile, non-stop journey along the Pennine Way from Edale to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders. It’s known as Britain’s most brutal endurance race: cold, dark, wet, unmarked, and self-supported.
I’m running in support of Into Ultra, a charity that opens up the physical and mental benefits of ultra running by providing coaching and support to those who wouldn't otherwise have access to these resources.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to be surrounded by people who believed in me and encouraged my running, from my first coach Terry (now 90!) to my current coach Chloe, and of course my family. Running might look like a solo sport, but I know from experience that it’s anything but. Support, guidance and community make all the difference.
I’ve seen the huge benefits that ultra running can bring...strength, resilience and mental wellbeing. Not everyone has access to the support, advice or opportunities that open the door to this sport.
That’s why your donation matters.
Your support will help Into Ultra provide coaching, guidance and sponsorship to people who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to be part of this world.
If you’re able to contribute, I’d be incredibly grateful.
Every donation helps someone begin their own journey.
Thank you so much for supporting me — and supporting Into Ultra.
