In January 2022 friends of ours suddenly and unexpectedly lost their son Jasper just weeks before his 9th Birthday. Within CRY they have created a Memorial Fund that supports young people with screening days protecting the cardiac health of young people in the local community.

Next year it will be the turn of Jasper's friends to be screened.

I know Jasper's parents would like to hold two screening days next year. Each costs £7200 for 100 young people to be screened.

My son was one of 100 screened on one of these days this year. It would be amazing to think by being sponsored to run this marathon, I can pay back at least that screening and support Jasper's Journey for their future plans

The work of CRY is incredible.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
