I’m honored to have been selected as a 2026 Living Classrooms Rising Star, a recognition of emerging Baltimore leaders who are committed to making a difference in our city.

As part of the Rising Stars program, I have committed to raising at least $3,000 in support of Living Classrooms Foundation.

Living Classrooms has been part of Baltimore for more than 40 years, using the city itself as a place for learning, opportunity, and connection. Its work spans hands-on education, job training, youth development, health and wellness, community safety, maritime programming, and environmental education.

You can see that work across Baltimore: in community hubs such as UA House and POWER House, aboard historic ships in the harbor, at the Frederick Douglass–Isaac Myers Maritime Park, through workforce-development programs, and in outdoor learning spaces such as Masonville Cove.

I care deeply about Baltimore and about the civic institutions that help our neighborhoods, public spaces, and young people thrive. Living Classrooms’ belief in learning by doing, and in building programs rooted in the places and communities they serve, strongly resonates with me.
