I’m wanting to turn a very rubbish situation into something positive! For those who don’t know I will be starting my breast cancer treatment journey with a mastectomy on the 16th of April followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy, under the care of the amazing team at the Breast Care Unit at the Countess of Chester who have been nothing short of awesome since being diagnosed a few weeks ago. They’ve answered my many many random questions, are always available for hugs, information and an ear for rants, with kindness and compassion. I will be running the Mersey tunnel 10k on the 12th of April, which will be my last for a while, and whilst this isn’t the biggest physical challenge - I think that’s coming in the next few weeks and months - if you are inclined and able, to help me to try and eek something positive out of this crappy situation I would be very grateful.
