At Linkage College East Riding Campus, we are committed to empowering students with learning disabilities and autism to build confidence, develop skills and work towards greater independence.

On Thursday 26th March 2026, students will take on the Flem to Wem Bikeathon at Flemingate, cycling a combined 216 miles — the distance from Beverley to Wembley Stadium — all without leaving town. Running from 9:30am to 3:30pm as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, students will work in teams to reach the mileage target.

The event is raising £750 to create a accessible sensory garden at the campus. The garden will provide a calm outdoor space where students can relax, regulate sensory needs and reduce anxiety. It will also support wellbeing, independence, social interaction and the development of life and employment skills, while remaining accessible for students with a range of needs.

We invite the Beverley community to come along, cheer on the students and donate on the day. Every mile cycled brings us closer to creating a lasting space that will benefit current and future students.
