🌄Yorkshire 3 Peak 12 Hour Challenge🌄

My name is Linzi, and this Easter on the 4th April 2026, I will be taking part in a 12-hour challenge to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks in loving memory of my Son, Josh.

Josh, not only the most loveable, kind and generous sole who taught us what love is, but my inspiration daily to keep going.

When Josh was taken from us by Osteosarcoma, he left with us the wisdom that strength and bravery comes from a positive mindset, “there’s a positive in every day” and nothing is unachievable.

Every step I take on this challenge, I’ll hear Josh reminding me of this and look for his smile up in those clouds that never faltered even during his hardest moments.

Those that know me well will understand this opportunity wasn’t a choice, just like it wasn’t a choice for Josh facing childhood cancer. It’s my way of honouring him, to try and get close to the sheer determination and strength he showed.

Josh and Libby, when we reach the finish, I will toast your 21st Birthdays with a full heart (and tired legs!).

I am raising money for J.O.S.H - Josh's Osteosarcoma Support & Help Foundation, a charity very close to my heart.

J.O.S.H is dedicated to raising funds to provide respite holidays and holiday accommodation to children in the North-East with a life-limiting or life-threatening diagnosis of childhood cancer. These opportunities give children and their families precious time together to create lasting memories.

Taking on this challenge alongside the JOSH team is both an honour and an incredible opportunity, inspired by the extraordinary courage and strength shown by Josh.

Josh endured an immense amount of unimaginable challenges over 15 months of gruelling treatment. If we can face this challenge with even a fraction of the bravery and positivity he showed every day, we are set to achieve great success, something far greater than we ever thought possible.
