Story

Joshua is my best friends son my honary godson. Ive known josh most of his life. In June this year josh had an accident and came of his motorbike it was a freak accident gliding on water after it rained heavy. Josh was treated at royal Preston critical care unit and for four weeks they did everything they could to get him back home. The hospital team (sheenas words) from the receptionist, the nurses, the doctors and consultants they were amazing and went above and beyond and looked after josh like they were their own. Josh passed on the 2nd of July 2025 his body just couldnt cope anymore. This donation page is to help other families going through this traumatic time to help make everything a little easier.

Thank you for any donations or shares its all appreciated

our critical care unit at Royal Preston Hospital is one of the largest in the North West of England, looking after more than 1600 patients every year.

Our dedicated team provides intensive treatment and close monitoring of patients who are seriously ill, or who need intensive care following surgery.

As our Critical Care Unit continues to grow here will always be a need for those added extras which can make all the difference to our patients and their families, when they need it the most.

Your donations will enable us to provide a welcoming, calm and comfortable environment for families staying close to their loved ones. With your help we can also fund additional equipment and state-of-the-art simulation training, enabling our team to remain at the forefront of modern technology and exceptional care.

Thank you so much for your support!
