The 10th edition of the Transcontinental Race will start in Roubaix, with a lap of the velodrome.
The four mandatory Control Points of TCRNo10 are listed below:
Start: Roubaix Velodrome, Roubaix, France
● Control Point 1: Vršič Pass, Slovenia
● Control Point 2: Bjelašnica, Bosnia
● Control Point 3: Prevallë, Kosovo
● Control Point 4: Çanakkale, Türkiye
● Finish: Istanbul, Türkiye
I'm a solo bicycle rider racing without outside assistance. Some would say I'm a gluten for punishment. But I do like riding my bicycle. Having lost a sister to Breast Cancer, it means a lot to me to support Breast Cancer Now.
Following on from being evacuated from Slovenia due to floods and landslides last year and being trapped for 3 days. I still need to finish my solo ride. Riding against the clock and the other 350 riders to Istanbul. Aiming to complete over 4000 km (2500 miles) in 16 days without help or support. With four mountain checkpoints, to get a stamp on my brevet card at each checkpoint. My aim is to be at the final night party in Istanbul, Türkiye.
This is what all those hours on the bike in the gym/spin classes and 100- mile road races have been for.
