Story
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust (The EPT) exists to ensure that anyone affected by ectopic pregnancy has access to clear, trusted information and compassionate support, while raising vital awareness of a condition that affects 1 in 80 pregnancies.
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a pregnancy implants outside of the womb, most commonly in a fallopian tube. It is different from a miscarriage, although both involve pregnancy loss. An ectopic pregnancy can be a life-threatening medical emergency, yet many people are still unaware of the difference.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I have experienced two ectopic pregnancies, both of which ruptured and became life threatening emergencies. Going through this has shown me just how important awareness, understanding, and having the right support can be.
This October, I’ll be taking on a wing walking challenge to raise money for The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. Every donation will help the charity continue providing vital support, trusted information, and much needed awareness for those affected by ectopic pregnancy.
Thank you for supporting me and this important cause.
