Lisa's fundraising for CCLG

Annual Quiz Nights and classes
Please help me to raise funds for research into acute myeloid leukaemia so that in the future, all children with cancer survive.
Kai is the son of a friend of mine - Kara. Kai was diagnosed with leukemia when he was just 2 years old. I used to train Kara at The Park Club, Chatham but we also went out socially as our first children were of a similar age.
Kara was 5 months pregnant with her 4th boy when she had the devastating news that Kai had Leukemia. Kai was in hospital for 8 months, had chemotherapy, transfusion after transfusion and in August 2015 was lucky enough to get a donor match. The next big operation was a bone marrow transplant. Kai did well for months but sadly relapsed after 11months and needed another bone marrow transplant. A lot of local people joined the bone marrow registry but sadly no one was a match. Devastatingly, Kai died just before his 4th birthday.
I'm supporting #teamkai at CCLG because I want to ensure that what Kai endured was not in vain, that his memory and vivacity for life will continue and to let his mum, Kara, know that we haven’t forgotten him x
