3 years ago my son Rhys was misdiagnosed by another hospital when he had appendicitis.

A delay in diagnosis & covid policies lead to his appendix to burst and become gangrenous. He underwent a lifesaving 3.5 hour operation and took a week to recover in hospital. Sheffield children’s hospital were amazing and their care was second to none.

A week after discharge Rhys unfortunately fell and broke his elbow, again having to have an operation to fix his arm. He suffered this time with an allergic reaction during surgery. Again their care was amazing.

I’d now like to take the opportunity to fundraise for the hospital. I will be running a charity Bootcamp day & also collection toy donation for the children in recovery.
