I am raising money to help refugees experience welcome and sanctuary in Bristol. I know first hand that this charity is doing great work as I sit on the steering group for sanctuary with them. This is a cause close to my heart - I am currently doing my PhD related to refugee voices and wellbeing via arts activities. My aim is to build a more inclusive and collaborative world and I believe every human being is entitled to have their basic human rights met. I often think imagine it was you in the situation of having to flee your country and find refuge in a far away culture and country - you would want to feel welcomed and included. It could be any of us, me or you. I want to help those less fortunate than me because one person can make a difference. Let's make a difference together, this world can be a warm kind place if we just have the courage to create it!
