Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Quarriers.

My virtual walking challenge of 874 miles from Lands' End to John O' Groats starts on 1st July-and as part of my 'fit for 50 year'. I have given myself 3 months to complete this which means an average 9.5 miles (approx 22,000 steps) per day.

I have decided while walking, to also raise money for Quarriers, a Scottish Charity that supports adults and children with a physical or learning disability, and families facing poverty, family breakdown and disadvantage.

They provide guidance for young people with social emotional or behavioural difficulties or who are homeless, and help them work towards a brighter future.

Through the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre and fieldwork services, they also help to transform lives for people affected by epilepsy.

Quarriers currently run over 100 services throughout Scotland. They pride themselves on meeting the needs of the people they support in each and every community, and their person-centred approach means that the support offered is tailored to each individual, putting their needs first.
