Story
Raising pounds instead of counting pounds...
On Monday September 29, me and 20 colleagues from Finance (plus a fabulous support team) from Wales & West Housing swapped spreadsheets for hiking boots as part of our 60 for 60 anniversary challenges.
Our mission? To climb Pen y Fan (886m, the highest peak in South Wales)- 60 TIMES.
Each climb meant tackling the steep ascent to the summit before heading back down to start again, 60 times in total, shared across the team, until we clocked up 60 trips between us all.
That's 53,160m of climbing in total - the equivalent of climbing up Everest SIX times.
Our 60 for 60 challenges to celebrate our 60th anniversary are raising money for our staff charities.
For every pound we raise our charities Cymru versus Arthritis, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Cerebral Palsy Cymru and Parkinson's UK Cymru, will benefit.
Please show your support for me and my team and four great causes.
Thank you.
