A lot of people have asked whether I'm raising money whilst climbing Ben Nevis, and originally I wasn't planning to. But I decided that even if I only raise a small amount, every penny can still make a difference.

If you know me, you will know how much I love dogs. I have two rescue dogs from Romania myself, and seeing the difference that rescue organisations make to dogs’ lives is something really close to my heart.

Although my dogs weren’t adopted through Dogs Trust, I know firsthand how incredible rescue charities are and the amount of care, rehabilitation, time and support that goes into helping dogs get the second chance they deserve. The work Dogs Trust does every single day for vulnerable and abandoned dogs is amazing, and that’s why we wanted to support them whilst taking on this challenge.

Climbing Ben Nevis will definitely push me out of my comfort zone, but knowing I'm doing it for such a worthwhile cause will help keep me going to the top.
