This Saturday 29th June, I am taking on The Mighty Hike, a 26 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales to raise money for Macmillan.

I absolutely HATE walking, I moan endlessly and make dramatic statements likening the situation to torture. But I’ve signed up to the Mighty Hike because this is the first physical challenge my partner Emma is doing since completing her cancer treatment in December 2023 and I’d like to support her through it (I have promised not to moan, so it is likely to be a very quiet walk!)

Throughout 2023 we saw the impact Macmillan have and the importance of their role supporting someone through cancer diagnosis, treatment, set backs and even when in remission.

I have pledged to raise £250 and would appreciate any support in reaching this. By fundraising my pledge, I could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker for two days who could provide emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer.
