Story
Friday 20 January 2023 marks two years since my second, lifesaving stem cell transplant.
If it wasn't for the wonderful work of Anthony Nolan recruiting and matching stem cell donors to patients like me, I wouldn't be here today. Their work, has saved the lives of over 21,000 people since the register was set up in 1974.
As we gather to celebrate 'Life & Light' on my second re-birthday, I would like to take the opportunity to raise funds for Anthony Nolan as a small way of saying "thank you".
The money raised will contribute to the charity's work going forward and ensure that other patients like me are also blessed with a second chance at life.
All donations - no matter how small - will be gratefully received.
Thank you so much for celebrating this special occasion with my family and I and for all of your love and support during our Aplastic Anaemia journey.
We are so lucky to have you all in our lives.

A message from Anthony Nolan:
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
