I was made aware of the Rainbow Valley charity by my good friend and Rainbow Valley Ambassador Michelle MacDonald. It was watching her & the other participants proudly bare their scars that inspired me to participate in the 2026 event.

I have attended two Brave to Bare events, and both occasions I was blow away by the atmosphere that this event generates, the love and support in the room is palpable.

I lost my Mum (Avril) to cancer in December 2017 and my step Mum (Georgie) in June 2025, I am not only doing this for them but to all my amazing, brave family members and friends that are living with or have been affected by cancer.

I am absolutely terrified about “Baring it all” but this is nothing in comparison to the strength and resilience that my family and friends have had to find to get them through their own cancer journey… so this is the least I can do.
