On 7th June 2025, a few of my colleagues and I are taking part in the Ellesmere Port Shark Dive to raise funds for Lia’s Wings.

We will be diving alongside some spectacular sharks including the mighty Sand Tiger sharks (weighing up to 350lbs and reaching lengths of 3.2m), endangered Guitar sharks, Black Tip sharks, as well as Stingrays and vibrant tropical fish. I am really excited to have the opportunity to do this whilst raising funds for such an incredible cause.

Lia’s Wings is the only UK air ambulance charity delivering life-saving services across the UK and internationally. They use aeroplanes to provide urgent medical transfers, ensuring that babies and children receive the vital medical treatment which they need, no matter where they are in the world. There are typically lots of challenges with the majority of cases which they are called upon to support such as children having been injured and stranded in a foreign country, language barriers, huge costs, lack of local support etc. Lia's Wings also provides a tailored support service for families to help them through crisis, creating improved outcomes and lasting change.
