Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It’s 3 years since my beautiful Mum passed away after a 5 year battle with cancer.
To this day I’m still thankful to Wigan Hospice for what they did for Mum in those last few days, however, as there are only a small number of beds one only became available 3 days before she died. Being at the hospice opens up access to care from the amazing and specially trained Hospice nurses and better pain relief, both of which can help reduce the distress of both the individual and family during a truly awful time.
Wigan Hospice is a charity, not part of the NHS and takes over £12,000 per day to run. To help raise the much needed funds Sean, Grant (yes we’ve roped him in this year) and I are doing the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Wish us luck in this heat!!!
